What is a leader? What are the qualities required in today’s leaders? As existing structures of leadership come tumbling down around the world, and new systems are set up in their place, from Libya to India, the world is redefining what it needs, wants and expects in a leader. This workshop seeks to imbibe lasting values in children that will stand them in good stead and mould them into tomorrow’s leaders. Drawing on examples from famous and much-admired leaders from all walks of life, such as Gautam Buddha, Kabir, Swami Vivekananda, Jesus Christ, the Dalai Lama, Mother Teresa, Mahatma Gandhi, Dr Ambedkar, Nelson Mandela, Rabindranath Tagore, William Shakespeare, Helen Keller, Joan of Arc, Anne Frank, Alexander Graham Bell, Albert Einstein, Thomas Edison, Leonardo da Vinci, and many more, the workshop will introduce children to the challenges of being a leader in all contexts, through a series of role-plays and various theatre games.

Shivani Tibrewala, poet-writer-director-producer, heads the theatre group ‘No License Yet’. Childrens' Workshops, conducted by No License Yet help mould sensitive and caring young minds into tomorrow’s conscientious citizens, and fire up children’s imaginations, encouraging their creativity and natural expression. No License Yet conducts children’s workshops on the third Saturday of every month on subjects as diverse as creative writing, puppets, environment, poetry, travel, and leadership.
