All little girls want to grow up and be princesses. But what does it really mean to be a prince or a princess? We invite your children to wear a crown for a day! As the children happily dress up like their favourite fairytale princes and princesses and enact famous fairytales, they discover that beauty is not just skin-deep, and there is a lot of work that goes into it! Through the medium of popular fairytales, we show children how being a prince / princess is about being brave, good, truthful, kind, generous and always willing to help others. We invite children to question and reinvent the stories as we go along in keeping with changing values. Do today’s princesses wait to be rescued, or are they capable of looking after themselves and others? Is it whiteness of skin or purity of heart that makes someone a real princess? Most importantly, we help children realize that they are their own magic wands – with the power to make their own wishes come true, if they just believe in themselves… A value-based storytelling and theatre workshop, Snow White & Other Princesses is a fun, deeply impactful and enriching adventure for girls and boys!
